🌕 Enjoy the Flavors of Autumn with Our Tsukimi Sweets

With the typhoon now past and the weather beginning to clear,the autumn equinox season is drawing to a close,and the season of moon viewing is just around the corner.

At Furuya Koganean, we have prepared two traditional sweets for Tsukimi, the Japanese moon-viewing tradition:Tsukimi Manju and Tsukimi Dango.

Our Tsukimi Manju features a yellow jōyo steamed cake made with grated yam, filled with smooth red bean paste and finished with a delicate rabbit-shaped mark—a traditional symbol of autumn moon viewing.

Our Tsukimi Dango are special sweets made with jōshinko rice flour, prepared especially for the night of the harvest moon.

This year, the Chūshū no Meigetsu (Harvest Moon) falls on September 25.

We hope these traditional sweets make your evening of moon viewing a little more special.
